ColorSafe 1.0 Beta GPL Release

ColorSafe Screen

Overview

If you ever use colors in your software or web projects, you'll appreciate an easy-to-use tool like ColorSafe. Although there are a ton of color picker programs available, ColorSafe encapsulates the most common RGB color conversion algorithms into a light-weight cross-platform application that makes picking safe colors for your projects a painless experience. No need to fire up that memory hog of a graphics application to get hexadecimal, RGB (floating point or integer), HSB or CMYK color values, ColorSafe is designed to do it quickly and will even recommend the nearest web safe color! .

Open-source development

Developers and students can customize ColorSafe to suit their own needs. The entire codebase has been released with the distribution packages under GPL. Source code can be found in the distribution packages within the /com/woven_media/colorsafe/src directory. Also included with the distribution packages are the complete ColorSafe 1.0 Beta API Specifications located in the /API directory.
